Geeta Vatika Gorakhpur: place has huge calm vibe
Geeta Vatika Gorakhpur -This "Teerthi Kurvanti Teerthani"—what is it? A large sattvikta was filled with the atmosphere, the water, the sky, the dust particles, and the trees in the places where the Mahatma people stayed. Devaragaman was held there, as were Bhagwat debates and saints' knowledge sessions. It was called "Teerth" because of the goodness that created the land and the water there, which purified the air. One such pilgrimage destination is Geeta Vatika, which is located roughly three kilometers from Gorakhpur Railway Station. Bhai ji lived a pious and devoted life akin to that of sages for 35 years, commencing his penance at Gita Vatika.
Gita Vatika was bought for Bhai ji Shri Hanuman Prasad ji Poddar, editor of Geetapress, Gorakhpur, for his lonely residence. Here was the residence of Shri Bhai Ji Vaishakh Purnima no. 1991 V. (1934). He has been accompanied by numerous saints, including Mahatma, Sadhak, scholars, and writers. It is from this location that "Kalyan" would be edited. For a year in 1936, this location hosted Akhand Kirtan, which drew saints and mahatmas from all over the nation. Since then, this location has developed a special, exquisite beauty.
This place has a calm vibe. In addition to Lord Ganesh ji, Lord Hanuman ji, Lord Suryadev, Mother Durga, the magnificent idol of Vishnu Lakshmi, and Maa Tripura Sundari, the Radha Krishna Sadhana Temple in Vatika is a massive, beautiful temple constructed in the Nagara style. Additionally, there is an idol of Shribhai Ji and his spouse, Maa Ramdei Poddar, who are always in prayer. Scripture says that they are worshipped every day. Devotees passionately participate in the highly emotional evening aarti. On the side of the temple is Akhand Sankirtan Mandal, where Bhai Ji initiated Naam Sankirtan, which has been going on constantly since 1968.
There is now a stunning temple dedicated to Maharishi Angira and Devarshi Narad ji, where their idols are worshipped. Devotees come to this spot.
Bhai Ji’s sacred grave is located on the right side of the shrine. On the platform where Bhai Ji burned his mortal body, the remnants of his body remain. There ought to be no impact. Beside it are the tombs of Mother and Radha Baba. A temple-like structure has been built over Baba’s tomb. It serves as a reminder that, seeing the true character of Bhai Ji, Baba made the decision to live out the remainder of his days next to his tomb after making the unwavering commitment to stay with him since he saw him as a moving Vrindavan.
As said by Shri Radha Baba, “The brilliance of Gita Vatika is equal to that of Shri Vrindavan Dham, where for over 35 years, Shri Poddar Maharaj, who draws inspiration from Rasraj Mahabharata, has lived.” Everything that has to do with Nandanandan Shri Krishna’s body while he sits there, even the largest and tiniest materials used in his work, is becoming available because of Brij Bhavappan. Their footprints have left their mark on every particle of this land, which also exists as it is.
The sacred chamber where the divine discourse had the chance to restore the honor of Hinduism as a religion, culture, and philosophy to the world is housed in the temple’s courtyard building. The love of the beloved is delicious; the brother has seen his God many times in this place, and love has been garlanded. He was absorbed in Leela at all times. People travel great distances for the safe material that brother uses in this space.
The sound of “Prasid me namami te padabj bhakti dehi mein,” which comes from Bhai Ji’s sacred chamber, never stops soothing the guests and encouraging them to continue down the path of love and devotion. In Geeta Vatika, Bhai Ji’s converted Radhashtami festival is lavishly celebrated, drawing devotees and followers from far and wide to take part. For the convenience of guests, there is a separate guest house.
